Medicaid Application Case Manager - Long-Term Care Job Description

Silver Lining Solutions, Inc, is a highly respected Medicaid application processing company. We are seeking a exceedingly detail oriented and organized case manager.

Our case managers meet with clients and families to put together the puzzle of documentation needed to get approved for Medicaid coverage for nursing home long term care. Case managers become an extension of the client's family for the 90 day period, as the consultant for their long term care needs. Silver Lining Solutions upholds professional relationships and reputation with the MassHealth offices.

Silver Lining Solutions case managers serve a greater purpose of providing this service to our most vulnerable population in our community; the elderly and disabled. We are able to provide them with peace of mind during the difficult transition into long term care.

Responsibilities

Successful Case Managers are dedicated, capable of juggling multiple clients status', willing to travel by car to appointments throughout New England. We primarily work in Massachusetts but are growing in other states. There is opportunity for promotion and growth within the first year at our company.

Pay is commission based. Average salary is between 50-60K/year. Income opportunity can be greater if stronger ability to get clients approved. Case managers are paid $500 per case.

Success in this position is having a schedule that fits your life style while managing up to 50 cases at any given time, meeting with clients in person to start the application and following up to ensure they provide all necessary documentation, fostering a positive relationship with the nursing homes.

  • Manage at minimum 20 cases at many given time

  • Meet with clients and families

  • Submit Medicaid applications

  • Communicate with nursing homes

  • Interrelate and cooperate with Office of Medicaid

  • Compile and process documentation

  • Adhere to deadlines

  • Update weekly reports

Qualifications

No Experience necessary. We fully train all of our case managers on our process. Training is paid hourly.

No education requirements. Associates Degree or higher is recommended. Education in sociology is a plus.

Experience in health care administration is a plus.

Bilingual applicants are a plus.
